  Liz Benkovich, Regional Vice President
 

To know her is to love her! With wit and wisdom, Liz currently serves as regional vice president for the Eastern U.S. and, in her nearly 30 years in the business (20 with us!), she’s worked on launching home shows, struggling home shows, recently acquired home shows and healthy home shows.

A modern day Renaissance woman, she’s held various positions over the years, including exhibit sales (for heavy duty truck shows nonetheless!), exhibits manager, show manager, group manager, regional director, and chief cook and bottle washer.

Veteran Liz is the go-to person for any and all show-related info. She’s been there, done that!

And, if she’s traveling when you email her, you will surely get an incredibly funny out-of-office message. She’s famous for those.

   Alyson Caplan, Group Manager

Alyson is the Group Manager, responsible for managing all aspects of the Capital Home Show as well as the Philadelphia Home Show. Alyson has over 15 years experience in event planning, event marketing and sponsorship management. Prior to

her current position, Alyson worked as an event marketing consultant and planned many high profile events, including Comcast Cable's sponsorship of the Philadelphia Home Show. Alyson spent six years working for Comcast Cable, managing the Eastern Division's consumer promotions and events. Alyson is a Philadelphia native and has also worked for Comcast-Spectacor and the Philadelphia Flyers. Alyson has also planned events featuring Philadelphia favorites Patti LaBelle and Bill Cosby. Alyson resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia and works from Marketplace Events' new Fort Washington office.

Jane Spann, Sales Manager
           

Jane Spann started with Marketplace Events as an Exhibit Sales Consultant. She recently became Sales Manager for our NEW Washington Home & Garden Show as well as the NEW Home & Remodeling Show, Capital Home & Garden Show and Capital Home Show. Jane is a local Northern Virginian resident, cheers for the Redskins, knows the D.C. Metro market well and is proud to call it home.

Jane comes from an extensive sales background including luxury single family home sales, commercial real estate sales and of course exhibit sales.  

With a warranted confidence in MPE shows, Jane carefully brand manages each event to reflect the true nature of each show. She is well-versed in helping build the perfect blend of remodeling, gardening, decorating companies, new products etc. and pairing them with the show that will have their target audience.

  Lisa Gardon, Exhibit Sales Consultant
           

Lisa is a veteran sales consultant for the home shows produced in Chantilly. Lisa’s clients appreciate her sincerity, warmth and passion for providing exceptional service. Lisa attributes her natural ability to build rapport with others as a key component to her success.

Lisa’s experience includes sales for an upscale magazine entitled “Spree”. She also sold as a business development manager with Daymon Worldwide which is the largest private label broker for Grocery and Club stores across the world.

Be Creative! Remember - your booth is your bait. You have 3-7 seconds to gain the attention of a show visitor.  Make certain the first impression you make is positive, that your company name and your tag line (key message) is visible and understood.

Stephanie Burleigh, Exhibit Sales Consultant
           
Stephanie is an Exhibit Sales Consultant for all three annual Capital Shows at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA.  Prior to this position, Stephanie was a Senior Sales & Marketing Representative for a large national homebuilder, Ryan Homes. 

Her love of “shows”, however, started with her first job out of college where Stephanie worked as the Sales Coordinator for the Washington Post Company in their tradeshow and events division in Washington, DC.  Stephanie loves everything that has to do with homes and/or gardens, and loves being a part of the Capital Show Team!

Design Tip:
I’m really into lighting at the moment. To dress up a plain room in your home, use a statement piece chandelier or larger lighting fixture. It will become the focal point of the room and all eyes will be drawn to it!

Cindy is Office Manager for the Williamsville (Buffalo) office where she oversees the company's day-to-day office needs. She is also responsible for the administrative needs of the Spring Capital Home & Garden Show, the Fall Capital Home Show and the Home and Remodeling Show in Chantilly, Virginia. Cindy has been in the home show business for the past 26 years.

Stephanie was previously part of the Orlando team selling exhibit space for the Fall Orlando Home Show and the Central Florida Home and Garden Show. Stephanie’s expertise is her ability to listen to her customers and tailor their exhibit space to their needs.  She has a great understanding of the markets in which she serves and it pays off for the remodeling, gardening and decorating companies she works with each day. Exhibitors love working with Stephanie.  Her enthusiasm, market knowledge and helpful nature works for everyone concerned.

Stephanie graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Previous job experience includes a Marketing and Foundation Intern with Hospice Buffalo.
